Rising oil prices squash productivity

The ongoing strength of the pound is continuing to cause problems for British manufactures suffering from the lowest export demand since the turn of the year.

Rising oil costs as a result of Hurricane Katrina have compounded widespread problems in the Manufacturing sector, it remains to be seen whether the impending Hurricane Rita will worsen the situation.
