Disability Discrimination Act gives students food for thought

Design students are hoping to catch the attention of manufactures with their new products designed with disability in mind.

Nearing its first anniversary the DDA outlines strict guidelines for the equal access of all people to products and services. Companies such as Portakabin have long been designing a range of portable building add-ons with equal access for all in mind and now up and coming talent are taking on the challenge.

The Independent Living Exhibition held in London at the end of September was a showcase for some of the new products coming through designed specifically for disabled people.
