Off site construction can reduce risks

With approximately 1,000 construction workers breaking or fracturing a bone every year, building sites can be dangerous places. A Health and Safety 'watch your step' initiative has been launched to try and reduce the number of injuries but the very nature of building work is hazardous.

Off site construction techniques can reduce these risks by taking the process of building away from the outdoor area where workers and pedestrians alike can add to the hazards. By moving processes inside to controlled factory environments the system becomes more streamlined with less people on site trying to do lots of different jobs all at once.
