Wembley Stadium negotiations reach the table

With the widely accepted knowledge that construction of the Wembley stadium is seriously behind schedule (i.e. potentially too late for the FA cup final, which was sort of the whole point) contractors Multiplex and Wembley National Stadium Ltd have finally made it to the negotiating table to discuss the proposed £120,000 per day late fees.

WNSL are trying to charge Multiplex the monumental amount as part of the original fixed-term agreement, yet dispute over access to zones of the site are giving the Australian company some bargaining leverage.

Whilst Multiplex and WNSL are said to be on amicable terms, there is less good feeling extended to Cleveland Bridge UK who are currently in the process of countering an £18.3m litigation claim from Multiplex for breach of contract.
