Modular construction does it for Heathrow

With the automated baggage system up and running, the future is looking good for the completion in 2008 of Terminal 5 at Heathrow airport.

Currently costing £4m per day to run, the project is on time and on budget to become one of the 5 biggest European airports in its own right capable of handling 30m passengers per year (taking Heathrow's total up to 100m).

Tony Douglas, Managing Director of the site, has accredited this amazing success to the use of modular construction techniques. By using specialist contractor's equipment and expertise components for the build can be compiled off-site and then delivered ready for installation, saving valuable time and money.
