Portakabin Launches Search For Star Student

Business studies students at Hartlepool Sixth Form College are being given an extra incentive to make the grade thanks to Portakabin.

To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the modular building provider’s Teesside Hire Centre, the company is sponsoring the college’s A-level business studies course, which will see the top-performing student rewarded with a cash prize.

Carole Horseman, Assistant Principal, at Hartlepool Sixth Form College, said, ‘We’re delighted that Portakabin has chosen to sponsor our A-Level Business Studies course as part of the Teesside Hire Centre’s fifth birthday celebrations.

Portakabin Lilliput Scores A Century

Portakabin has once again proved its expertise in creating high quality environments with the sale of its 100th Lilliput building, a nursery facility designed around the needs of children.
Designed in conjunction with award winning nursery and primary school architects, Cottrell & Vermeulen, and early years consultant Mark Dudek, the Lilliput building was launched on the market eight years ago.

Following the initial introduction of Sure Start Local Programmes, Neighbourhood Nurseries and Early Excellence Centres, the government introduced its Sure Start Children’s Centres initiative. The idea behind all these schemes was to ensure that families from all social backgrounds have access to childcare and family support.
