Praise for the Olympic masterplan

The masterplan for the London Olympics has been praised by the Commission for Archicture in the Built Environment and Design for London.

The Chair of the Panel, Paul Finch said: "This project represents an extrodinary opportunity for regeneration of, and investment in, one of the most neglected parts of London."

The Panel agrees that the masterplan, along with the work that has already taken place, provides a strong framework for facilities, the Olympic Park and future developments.
